Online safety teaching, without the prep

Online safety changes fast. School resources often do not. Yet students want help with this: nearly three-quarters (74%) of 8–17s say they want to know more about spotting scams online (Childnet, 2024).

Cloak for Schools is built to close that gap: ready-to-use, interactive lessons built around the risks students actually meet, kept current as those risks change.

The platform is developed alongside DSLs and PSHE leads. Licensing is a simple per-school annual subscription, with trust-wide pricing for MATs.

An online platform

Cloak for Schools works like the online learning platforms students already know but is focused on cyber safety. Students log in, complete lessons and activities at their own pace, while teachers assign tasks and track progress from a simple dashboard.

Lesson planning, sorted

Every activity comes with ready-made teacher support: discussion prompts, key talking points, a short guide and clear next steps for students, such as when to pause, report, block or speak to a trusted adult. They are designed to be easy to drop into RSHE, Computing, tutor time or homework.

Kept up to date

Scams, apps and the platforms students use change faster than most resources are updated. The latest 2026 guidance directly names AI chatbots, deepfakes and AI-generated images as risks schools need to address. Cloak for Schools uses AI-assisted threat monitoring to spot emerging issues, then turns them into classroom-ready activities that are human-reviewed before they go live.

Accurate

Every activity is reviewed before publication and informed by cybersecurity expertise, trusted guidance and current online risks. AI may help identify emerging topics, but people make all publishing decisions.

Age & stage appropriate

Designed for secondary students aged 11-18. Activities are pitched around the platforms, behaviours and risks students are likely to encounter, with content adapted to suit different year groups.

Neutral by design

Focuses on practical online-safety skills, informed decision-making and relevant legal and safeguarding information. Its purpose is to help students navigate the online world more safely and critically, without promoting a political or partisan position.

Before any activity reaches a classroom, it passes five reviews.

Cyber accuracy
A cybersecurity practitioner from Solid Code Solutions.
Safeguarding and age-appropriateness
A practising Designated Safeguarding Lead, who signs off the content warnings and teacher notes.
Curriculum and classroom usability
A practising secondary PSHE / RSHE lead.
Accessibility and reading level
A SEND and accessibility reviewer.
Credibility and clarity
A panel of teenage reviewers.
Nothing reaches a classroom on an automated pass. AI helps identify and prepare emerging-risk themes worth teaching, but it holds no authority: it cannot approve content, cannot publish, and never touches student data. However an activity starts life, it only becomes a lesson once the professionals above have taken it through every check and signed it off.

Accessibility is part of the build, not an afterthought.
Cloak for Schools has been designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, including support for screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions and text resizing. This helps schools provide an accessible learning experience and make appropriate adjustments for disabled pupils.
Teacher guidance also helps staff adapt activities for students who may need additional support before, during or after a lesson.
Schools can tell us about their students’ access needs so we can consider them as the platform develops. Our accessibility statement explains where we are today, known limitations and how to report a problem.

Cloak for Schools is built by Solid Code Solutions, which is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and certified under Cyber Essentials, the government-backed scheme for protection against common cyber attacks.

Your school stays in control

Your school remains the data controller, while Solid Code Solutions acts as the data processor and handles personal data only on your documented instructions. We provide a data processing agreement, a clear sub-processor list and information to support your data protection impact assessment and supplier checks.

Built to minimise student data

Cloak for Schools is built around data minimisation: collecting only what is needed to run lessons and show teachers progress, keeping children's best interests central, and never using student data to train AI models. It is designed to meet the ICO's Children's Code, also known as the Age Appropriate Design Code.
