How the licence works

Twelve months. Your decision to continue.

  1. Month 1
    Starts when you do
    The licence runs for twelve months from your start date, once the data processing agreement is signed and your class lists are in.
  2. Before month 12
    Does not auto-renew
    We contact you before the year ends. Continuing is a decision you make, not a charge that happens to you.
  3. End of month 12
    If you don’t renew
    Access ends at the end of the licence period and student data is deleted in line with the retention commitments in the privacy policy.

How much does Cloak for Schools cost?
One annual fee per school, covering every student, every class, the teacher dashboard and the lesson plans. There is no per-student pricing. Talk to us and we will come back with the figure for your school.
Is there per-student pricing or a cap on numbers?
No. The licence covers the whole school. A school of 600 and a school of 1,600 both get every student, every class and every lesson on the same kind of licence.
Does the licence auto-renew?
No. It runs for twelve months from your start date and stops unless you choose to continue. We contact you before the year ends, and continuing is your decision.
How does trust pricing work?
Trusts get single-fee pricing for their schools on one agreement and one data processing agreement, rather than a subscription per school. Talk to us with the number of schools and we will come back with a trust figure.
Is there a free trial?
There is no trial or pilot programme. The free activities are login-free tasters in the same voice as the platform, and any teacher can use them with a class to judge the approach before you talk to us.
What is not included?
Nothing you would need to run it. The platform is browser-only, so there is no hardware, no on-site software and no integration project. Filtering and monitoring are not part of Cloak; those stay with your IT provider.
